The Tampa Bay area was becoming the place to be if you were into fetish. I was a bit out of place there as my style of bondage play was more suited for San Francisco, LA, or New York. I actually was considering a move to Las Vegas once I was doing well enough to leave the not so model friendly location of NE Ohio. But Tampa had its calling cards. My friends at Fetishcon, my dad living in the area, my cousin building just south, Christina Carter in Florida and just a ton of stunning women that were willing to play on camera. After Fetishcon I was looking for locations. I had found a little apartment in Dunedin along the water and took the lease back with me to Ohio but chose at that time not to pull the trigger. But I had the itch. Another NE Ohio winter was looming but at that time, I was travelling down a lot and while things were starting to go well with the sites, I was not ready to make the financial commitment and give up my day job in Ohio.

Another chance to travel south came up in November. My cousin’s house was finished. They were spending Thanksgiving down there and invited me down. At the same time Badman Jerry was making a trip with Paige Turner to host a Tampa shoot party of sorts and record models that caught his eye at the con. I cannot recall if he asked me to join or if I suggested joining to share expenses, but I was somehow in. Jerry and Paige booked a hotel suite near my dad’s place the days before Thanksgiving. They would stay in the room, I would stay with my dad, and we would use the room to shoot. Another trip was on. This time I would be flying as my cousin booked the trip for the whole family. I flew ahead on an earlier flight, and I would return with them after Thanksgiving.

We booked four models. We lost one day as one blew us off, but the other three days were great, meeting three very sexy local women. We wrapped and celebrated, and I headed south of the Bay to spend the holiday with my Aunt and Uncle’s family. I recall the day being 75 and sunny as I lay by the pool. Ignoring Football while stuffed full of Turkey and trimmings. Never had a Thanksgiving day like that in Cleveland. The other thing I vividly recall was the return flight. To this day the rockiest, worst flight I have ever been on. Over 2 hours of white knuckle turbulence, especially the stormy, wintery approach to Cleveland. We landed, though for a moment that seemed in doubt, and were welcomed off that horrific flight to 11 degrees of pure joy. The next morning I returned to my courier gig. No work until around noon, then dispatched on a low paying local gig that sent me out into that brutal cold. I did the job, turned off my work phone and went to the closest bar. Over a beer I said to myself it may be time to give the bondage gig a chance full time. I went home, did a little posting on this new thing called social media, and got a few subscriptions. I made more that day than I ever would have driving in brutally cold weather. I decided it was time. I did not do another courier job. I opened a store at Clips4Sale to add revenue to go with my other revenue streams and devoted December to not only building my business but preparing to head to Florida after Christmas to stay until I found a new location. I was not spending another winter up north.
